Next week, we are joining software testing experts and practitioners at the Rosen Centre Hotel in sunny Orlando, Florida for STAREAST 2019!
What is STAREAST? STAREAST (@TechWell, #STAREAST) is an annual conference hosted by TechWell that brings together some of the leading minds and influencers in software testing and test automation. STAREAST 2019 takes place in Orlando, Florida, April 28 – May 3.
This year’s topics and themes feature conference sessions and networking events covering DevOps, performance testing and monitoring, security, Big Data and much more. We are honored to have Applitools test automation experts take the stage and lead hands-on tutorials at the conference.
Join us at the following sessions:
On Monday, April 29 @ 1:00 p.m. EST, join Applitools’ Sr. Developer Advocate and industry thought leader Angie Jones for a half-day workshop “Clean Coding Practices for Test Automation.” For those attending this exclusive session, Angie will share how to identify code smells with test code, understand the reasons why an approach is considered problematic and implement cleaner coding practices within test automation.
Then, on Tuesday, April 30 @ 1:00 p.m. EST, Angie presents another half-day workshop titled “Visual Validation for Test Automation.” Attendees will develop automated UI tests using Java, Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, and Applitools. Additionally, they will learn when and where to add visual assertions, how to work with various match levels including ones suitable for dynamic content, and how to evaluate and resolve visual test results.
On Wednesday, May 1, from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm, Angie will join another 8 prominent keynote speakers, including Seretta Gamba, Bob Galen, Jason Arbon, Isabel Evans, Dorothy Graham, Tariq King, Adam Auerbach, and Lloyd Roden, for Lightning Strikes the Keynotes. Lightning Talks consists of a series of five-minute talks by different speakers, and has been a popular part of STAR conferences throughout the years.
For those unable to join Angie for her clean coding workshop, she will be presenting “What’s That Smell? Tidying Up Our Test Code” on Thursday, May 2 @ 11:15 a.m. EST, which will be a less hands-on version of the workshop, but will still cover the high-level best practices for cleaning up “smelly” code.
As Silver Sponsor, we’re thrilled to support STAREAST 2019 and hope to see you at our booth in the expo hall during exhibit hours. We’re excited to share the latest developments around end-to-end visual testing and monitoring techniques that support automation and continuous quality. One of the latest updates we’ll be sharing is our new Ultrafast Grid, which helps provide the fastest, easiest path to test automation success.
By adding the Ultrafast Grid, Applitools AI-powered end-to-end visual testing and monitoring platform now includes every component the enterprise needs to quickly succeed in its test automation and CI-CD efforts. Applitools Eyes’ core test management, auto maintenance and dashboard functionality now allow anyone on the team to author, fix, analyze results and maintain tests easily.
